Nothing has been decided yet or at least nothing has been announced yet when it comes to the full time manager position at Celtic Park.

Neil Lennon holds the role and wishes to get the gig full time. The Irishman is on the cusp of eight-in-a-row with a side he’s taken on since late February and a Cup final awaits in May.

Should Neil get the job going forward then it could be a case of getting the old band back together because Johan Mjallby has just opened the door for a sensational return to the club to re-join Neil in the dugout.

Speaking to OpenGoal Sport and more specifically Simon Ferry the former Celtic defender and assistant has left the door open if Neil wants him back at the club.

“I’ve lost a little bit of motivation being in Sweden for the last three years.

“I’ve finished my pro licence so I have all my badges. I am just helping an amateur team right now which is good.

Asked by Ferry if he’d return to Celtic Under Lennon would appeal to him the Swede was clear “Oh most definitely yes.”

Mjallby and Lennon went their separate ways after Bolton with the Swede returning home while Neil Lennon went to Hibs with Garry Parker.

If Neil does get the job, unless he’s told he can’t bring his own men in, then there’s a high probability Parker and Mjallby could make a return.

A lot of Celtic fans are split over who they want to be the next manager of the club with no clear winner. It will be up to Dermott Desmond and Peter Lawwell to ensure the next man is ready for the ten-in-a-row tilt!
