The Kieran Tierney transfer saga has been an unwelcome sideshow for the Celtic fans. They don’t want to see their player leave and would like him to stay for the ten. They also know the bhoy is good enough to go play at a higher level and probably should in the future.

CHRIS SUTTON looks to be leaning more towards Kieran Tierney leaving the club this summer despite nobody matching the player’s valuation yet.

Arsenal have had two bids rejected for Celtic’s star defender but both bids have been thrown out by the Scottish Champions who do have a number they’ll move on.

Kieran has been out injured for a lot of 2019 so far and is not yet ready to play this season due to a double hernia operation. The player is still in some discomfort.

Celtic fans are hoping Kieran can get over his injury woes and back into the team but Chris Sutton believes the club look likely to lose the defender.

“It also looks like Celtic will lose their star left back Kieran Tierney, a major influence on the team, with Boli Mbombo his long term replacement.” Sutton wrote in his RecordSport Column.

“Will the Belgian be as good as Tierney? Probably not but we’re talking about Tierney going on to great things and it’s unfair to judge Mbombo after two games.”

Celtic brought in Boli for a decent price and he’s not come to sit on the bench. Right now, Kieran Tierney is a Celtic player and will remain one until such times as a jaw dropping amount of cash is put on the table.
