Former Celtic academy graduate has signed his first professional contract with English giants Liverpool [Liverpool FC]. 

It has been an incredible week for the youngster who also made his competitive debut for the Anfield club last week during their third round Caraboa Cup win over Derby County. Before domestic football was paused Doak also featured on the bench for Liverpool against Southampton at the weekend.

He first rose to prominence earlier this year when he made his competitive debut for Celtic under Ange Postecoglou against Dundee United before heading south to Merseyside.

It was only days later that the youngster would also feature in the 3-0 derby victory over Rangers days later.

Since then, it has been a complete whirlwind for the 17-year old who has also been impressing at international level having already made two appearances for the Scotland under-21s.

He continues to go from strength to strength at Liverpool having also featured for the Reds in the UEFA Youth League and the Premier League 2.

The move south appears to have paid off for the youngster and it will likely not be long until he makes his Premier League debut.

It is hoped that Doak is the last of a generation of youngsters to leave the club with Postecoglou wanting to establish a clear pathway into the first team at the club/
