Former Celtic defender Eoghan O’Connell is set to sign for Wrexham on transfer deadline day from Charlton, and the owners have teased the signing with a brilliant video.
Wrexham have been taken over by Hollywood actors Ryan Renolds and Rob McElhenney, who spearheaded a revolution at the Welsh club. If you haven’t watched the hit Dinsey plus docuseries ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ chronicling the takeover of the club and the duo’s attempt to bring them into the football league – there’s something special happening.
The show has earned Wrexham a lot of coverage, manifesting itself in unprecedented merchandise sales and sponsorship deals.
The club were minutes away from knocking out Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Sunday before a late equaliser forced a replay.
O’Connell has been greeted by Ryan Reynolds attempting to read out his name to fellow owner Rob McElhenney.

Eoghan left Celtic in 2017 after coming through the academy. He made a few first team starts but never did enough to hold down a place in the team.
I’m sure he’ll enjoy his new adventure with Wrexham; we wish him all the best.
