FORMER CELTIC HERO Victor Wanyama replied to Celtic’s tweet this morning with a simple emoji after the official account tweeted the iconic images of Celtic’s win over Barcelona five years on.

The now Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was instrumental that night in Paradise. Scoring the first goal before Tony Watt famously scored the second in a night that will live long in the memory.

It is without a doubt one of the best results in Celtic’s history. Under Neil Lennon, who was still rebuilding his side at the time, took on the might of Barcelona and did not give an inch on the park.

Wanyama fondly remembers his time as Celtic and knows his time there was the catalyst for his career to date.

The man who wore the famous number 67 will always have a special place in Celtic supporters hearts.
