PAUL HARTLEY has tonight left his post as Falkirk boss by ‘mutual agreement’ according to Falkirk’s statement.

Paul leaves the club dead last in the Scottish Championship after three games with no points on the board.

The former Celtic title winner was only in the job for 11 months after taking over from Peter Houston in October last year.

Paul was previous Dundee manager and was let go back in April 2017 after a run of terrible results.

The Falkirk statements reads:

‘Falkirk FC can confirm that it has come to a mutual agreement with Paul Hartley who will leave the club with immediate effect.

The Board of Directors wish to place on record their gratitude to Paul for all of his work during his time at The Falkirk Stadium. We wish Paul and his family the very best for the future.’

Paul spent some time at Celtic Park with Brendan Rodgers after leaving Dundee last year.

The Celtic manager takes a keen interest in aspiring coaches and always offers help and advice where he can.

The Irishman commented he was really appreciative of the help he once received when he was coming through the managerial ranks.

Paul will have to take a long look at his future before making his next decision in management.
