He never made the impact people hoped he would but Thomas Gravesen’s time at Celtic was indeed eventful. The now retired player was a bit of a character and could be a polarising figure in the dressing room.

Since moving away from football, Thomas Gravesen has made a lot of money being a ‘businessman’ – the last we heard about Thomas he was living it up in Las Vegas with a supermodel.

The former Celtic midfielder’s latest sighting has been on a Danish sitcom called ‘Sunday’ where Thomas was asked to play himself in a cameo role.

The show is about a failing football club trying to get promoted to the top tier. Speaking about the gig, he said: “I had met Lars before, and when they asked if I wanted to join, I thought it sounded like a fun project I wanted to support. It is not the world’s biggest role, so I thought it could hardly go wrong,” Gravesen told BT.

“It was really fun to be with and a really nice, relaxing environment that suited me very well. They were good at taking care of me, so I fit in,”

Gravesen appears in the preview clip below.

Asked if he was going to do more acting in the future, he said: “I do not know. Now we have to see what the future brings. Small movie clips and series I don’t mind being with, but I think I have to stick to what I am good at.”

Tommy is also doing punditry for Euro Sport on a semi-regular basis and seems to enjoy being on the screen in some way.

The man who once scored a hattrick for Celtic in Paisley has sure gone up in the world!
