Ex-Celt Patryk Klimala looks to be kick-starting his career in the MLS grabbing an assist in his first start for New York Red Bulls.

The Polish frontman has made two appearances so far for his new side, both coming off the bench at half-time.

However, making his first start for the club yesterday he put in an impressive performance, also picking up an assist in their 2-1 win over Orlando City.

The sale of Klimala is very much a strange one and recent events appear to have added to that.

Although, it seemed like a good deal to let go of the striker for the price offered making our money back in just over a year who was it that actually made this decision?

Of course, there is still a recruitment team but with no manager in place and the recent breakdown in talks with Eddie Howe, you have to think this surely isn’t something he has played a part in if it was certain he was getting to the job.

Former players always go with fans best wishes, so it is good to see Klimala hopefully kickstart his career in America.
