JOHN HARTSON has been the latest former player in the media to condemn the scenes at Celtic Park last night which forced the club to organise escorts for first team players to get to their cars.
A protest of just being there would have been enough but a minority of supporters knocked down fences outside Celtic Park before allegedly throwing missiles at first team players and coaches.
John Hartson slammed these fans hours after the club released a statement saying the scenes were unacceptable and they would be conducting and investigation.
Hartson wrote on Twitter:
The scenes outside Celtic Park last night were utterly disgraceful.. A club like no other.. faithful through and through.. opinions and bile on social media is one thing but for the players to leave the ground under a police escort is not acceptable.

The fans who took it way too far have allowed the conversation to be steered away from the game yesterday and have made it a circus.
Idiots who have to have a word with themselves if they can’t behave in a civil manner. The same people in the crowds celebrating trebles over the past three years now going toxic.
In the light of last nights escapades, the Green Nursery probably feel that they took the throwing of stuff heavier than confetti too far. But both they and Celtics Suits, know where the battle line has been drawn (no lost actually) That’s emotions for you. You can only suppress them for so long. And something gave. Queue up the paint pots and bedsheets. And get the public address system ready.
