Former St Mirren, Sunderland and Dundee Utd manager Jack Ross was at Lennoxtown on Friday morning as the bhoys were put through their paces.

Ross has been out of the game since his Utd side were dismantled by Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic team 9-0 back in the early throes of Ange’s second season.

The 47-year-old seemed in good spirits as he attended the Celtic training ground.

Ross has not had a good run of it at all since his St Mirren days and his near miss with Sunderland. He is likely looking to get back in the game as a manager and our hunch is he was taking in the session and picking the brain of Brendan Rodgers. He’s currently got a low profile coaching role at Newcastle.

Brendan has spoken highly of Ross in the past and has also made a point of allowing coaches to come in and see how he operates over the years.

Ross is likely looking to get back into the game over the next year and is readying himself for an opportunity that comes his way.
