Former Celtic loanee Oliver Burke could be set to add to his Celtic connections as he has been linked with a move to link up with ex Hoops boss Tony Mowbray at Blackburn Rovers.

Burke has certainly had his fair share of clubs in the early stages of his career, with a loan move at Parkhead coming in the 2nd half of the 2018/19 campaign.

Although it started off promisingly for the quick wideman, who was utilised heavily in the forward area, his move to Celtic very much petered out.

This led to Burke having another loan spell out in Spain with Alaves before completing his latest move in England to join Sheffield United.

As reported by Sun Sport with Burke now free to leave his current club, the 24-year old has attracted the interest of another, former Celtic manager with Tony Mowbray interested in bringing him to Ewood Park – which would become the fifth English club of his career and his eighth move overall.

After a disappointing spell with the club, both Mowbray and Burke will have something in common. Although, Burke’s despite his performances, in the end, Burke’s stay was considerably more successful, with the Scotland internationalist lifting the League and Scottish Cup at the end of the campaign.

  1. Is this the same Oliver Burke that , after about 4 games with us had some fans insisting we should look to buy him permanently?
