Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam has been full of praise for the job Ange Postecoglou has done at Celtic and compared him to Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.
Adam went up against Postecoglou’s Celtic side last season when he was at Dundee and knows how good a team they can be, but following their 2-1 victory over Rangers in the Viaplay Cup final he has heaped even more praise on the Hoops boss.
Celtic currently sit nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a mammoth goal difference in their favour which puts them in pole position to retain the league title for a second season.
Sunday also saw silverware being handed out for the first time this season in England as Manchester United won the English League Cup.
That has drawn Adam to make a comparison between the Celtic boss and Erik ten Hag as he reckons that the two bosses are driven by success and don’t like to give too much away but instead let their team do the talking on the park.
“If Ange keeps winning trophies then of course he’s going to get close to emulating the previous great Celtic managers,” said Adam speaking to [Ice 36].
“What I like about him is, he’s calm, he just wants to get on with things. I see similarities with what Erik ten Hag is doing at Man United.

“When you’re at these big clubs you have to be relentless day-in,day-out. Ange will probably still be disappointed with some things from the cup final but overall he’ll be delighted to win another trophy.”
It’s not the worst comparison to make as both were under a huge amount of pressure when they first arrived at both respected teams but have delivered success.
