Former Celtic trialist Thomas Robert is set to be given a chance to impress at English Premier League side Burnley.

According to the Daily Record, Sean Dyche’s side is set to rival the Hoops in their interest for the Frenchman, offering him a two-week trial down south with a possible chance of earning a deal.

Last season, Robert spent time at Lennoxtown with it being thought that the club was keen on a possible move for the Airdrie winger. However, that has now been complicated with the exit of former manager Neil Lennon.

The 20-year old was a surprise target for the Hoops, plying his trade at the League One side last season.

Robert is subject to several other club’s in Scotland, including Aberdeen. Currently, he has one year left on his deal at Airdrie, but this summer, it looks highly likely he could be set for an exit.

What club that is, remains to be seen. But the winger has a huge chance to earn himself a deal down south potentially.
