Celtic were linked earlier today with a deadline day move for Jeremie Frimpong from Manchester City.
The right-back is on the last year of his deal with Manchester City having spent the last three years at the Etihad.
Now 18, the defender has caught the eye of Celtic scouts and according to The Athletic and journalist Kieran Devlin who also helps out with the 90 minute cynic – the deal is close to being concluded.
Sources tell The Athletic Jeremie Frimpong to Celtic very, very close to being done. En route to Glasgow now. Four year deal.

This would appear to be one of two final signings of this window for Celtic.
A fee for Greg Taylor has been agreed just after 5pm and the player will have left his Scotland training camp to go finalise the move.
We expect confirmation on both lads coming in very soon. Celtic should be done after that for the evening.
It has been a window for rebuilding the defence. After so many leaving this summer, it was imperative that was always the manager’s focus.
