Celtic FC Women today kick off their Scottish Women Premiership campaign with a Derby against 13 in a row champions, Glasgow City at Broadwood

The women’s side will be looking for much better performance in a Glasgow derby than the men yesterday in the first game of the season.

These two-sided last faced off against one another, around eight months ago in the opener of the 2020 season, which was unfortunately null and void after just one game was played due to Covid-19.

Celtic were the ones to come out on top in the game, coming from behind to win 2-1 with captain, Kelly Clark scoring a late winner.

The Celtic women side are looking to finally kickstart the new adventure under Fran Alonso. After turning fully-professional this is finally the chance to do that with the season starting up again as the club looks to end Glasgow City’s years of dominance.

You can watch the game this afternoon on BBC Alba which kicks off at 4:10 PM.
