Fran Alonso was less than happy with his team after their 3-0 defeat to Glasgow City on Easter Sunday.
The Celtic women were so off the pace and didn’t muster many chances in the game. Glasgow City weren’t much better but once they got ahead they never looked like conceding.
It was a bitterly disappointing result for the Celtic team who now fall behind in the title race – five points off the top.
Speaking to Celtic TV after the game, Fran admitted the performance was poor and they must do better.
There has been a long shutdown of the women’s game along with lower leagues in Scotland due to the pandemic. It’s natural some of the players will be rusty.
However, they will have to up their hand tenfold in the coming weeks to get back in the title picture.
Right now, Kelly Clark and her teammates need to put some serious work into it.
