Fraser Forster has done nothing to quash rumours he could be on his way out of Parkhead.

The goalkeeper who has been at Celtic for the past 3 seasons is attracting interest from a number of clubs with Benfica showing a firm interest in his services.

Neil Lennon has said on several occasions that the big man is not for sale but the player himself has left the Celtic fans wondering after his latest comments.

He said:

“There has obviously been a bit of talk about Benfica and stuff like that.”

“It is nice having clubs come in for you because it means that you are doing well but we will just have to see.”

He added

“We have talked about CL football and how it is crucial for the lads and there is the opportunity to test yourself against the best players. It will be a case of wait and see what happens.”

Fraser hasn’t enjoyed the best of starts to the season and has came under criticism from certain quarters of the Celtic support, but it’s pivotal Celtic keep him for the Champions League group stages.

The man the Spanish dubbed ‘La Gran Muralla’ after his heroics against Barcelona last season would be irreplaceable at this point in the transfer window.
