French Ligue 2 side Toulouse are reportedly closing in on the signature of Yokohama F Marinos striker Ado Onaiwu.

The 25-year old striker has been linked with a move to Celtic in recent weeks (Read More) to once again link up with his former manager Ange Postecoglou, who he worked with in Japan at his current side.

As reported by Inside Futbol, according to French outlet LesViolets.com the Japanese internationalist is set to sign for Toulouse, barring any last-minute changes of decision.

Funnily enough, he will be going into the replace former Celtic striker Vakoun Bayo, who spent last season on loan there before recently moving on to Belgian side Gent.

Despite the recent reports, it is unclear if there were any concrete links between the Hoops and Onaiwu or whether it was just paper talk linking him to a return with his former manager.

Some fans were calling for Ange to bring in players he knows from his time in Japan. Although the club may not be signing the Marinos striker, this week, they announced the signing of another Japanese international, with Kyogo Furuhashi, set to join.
