French side Lille are reportedly ramping up their effort to sign a centre back this transfer window and they’ve turned their attention to Celtic star Jozo Simunovic according to reports.
The Celtic defender is enjoying a new lease of life at the Scottish Champions under Neil Lennon and played a large part in the second half of the treble treble winning season.
Now the French side look to test the club’s resolve with a £5m for the Croatian according to SunSport.
Celtic are currently looking to bring in a centre back from Hapoel be’er Sheva to add competition to the backline.
At the moment, there’s no way the Celtic manager would want to lose Jozo this window as it would leave the club short on defenders.
The centre back needs to sit out the first two games of the season after finding out he was banned for a red card during a friendly in Switzerland.
