Transfer season is well underway. Celtic have to strengthen in key areas as they get set to defend their SPFL title and play in the Champions League.

The club is being very proactive in identifying targets and are now stepping up their efforts to get new faces through the door in time for the new season.

Celtic have been linked with a whole host of players. As we always do – we bring you those transfer rumours. Unlike many other outlets who will post the original link pretty much verbatim – we look beyond that to prefix any new link between a player and the Scottish Champions.

AllNigeriaSoccer.com claim The Bhoys have enquired about Nigerian striker Stephen Odey.

The striker currently plays in Denmark for Rangers and managed 13 goals last season in the Danish top flight.

Stephen has two years left on his Danish deal and would cost upwards of £3m.

Club Sources have told CeltsAreHere, Celtic would like to bring in another striker this summer, but they’d be looking to offload Albian Ajeti before that happened.

What’s the likelihood of Stephen Odey coming to Celtic?

The link has come from nowhere, from a source that’s not got any sort of track record when it comes to Celtic signing players.

It’s very possible Celtic are again being used to get a players name out there.

The Hoops transfer team are constantly bombarded with agents flogging them players – there’s every chance Stephen’s name has been on an email Celtic have received. However, there’s a major leap between that and the club showing interest.

We’ll keep an eye on this one, at the moment it looks unlikely.

  1. Rangers died in 2012. Have never played in the Danish leagues that being said they have won 55 championships so who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️
