An emotional Celtic return for Kieran Tierney has long been speculated.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported this morning that negotiations are underway for a move, although the structure of which remained unclear.

Indeed, the 27-year-old is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season and could, therefore, soon be available on a free transfer.
Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph, though, who was hugely reliable for Celtic transfer news last summer, says that the Hoops are exploring a deal to bring Tierney back to the club, initially on loan, this month.
On X, Joseph reports that talks have already begun with Tierney’s reps over a move and that the Scottish Premiership champions are soon expected to contact Arsenal to begin negotiations about a switch:
UPDATE: Celtic are pursuing a deal for Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney.
Talks have begun with Tierney’s reps over a pre-contract.
Celtic are also exploring a loan move for Tierney in this window & are expected to contact Arsenal to begin negotiations.

The player’s desire is to complete a return to his boyhood club, whom he made 170 appearances for before moving to North London for a then-record £25m in 2019.
Tierney has since played 125 times for the Gunners in a spell which, despite initially starting fruitfully, has been somewhat ravaged by injury.
He went on loan to Real Sociedad in La Liga last season, but a move back home to work with his old boss, Brendan Rodgers, is well on the cards now.
The Tierney news is just what Celtic fans will want to hear, especially after yesterday’s 3-0 loss at Ibrox.
