MOUSSA DEMBELE has failed to quash any rumours he could be on the verge of a Lyon exit before the transfer window closes.

The Frenchman has been on fire for his side this season and they have reiterated their desire to keep the striker at the club in recent times. However, when asked the question about the speculation surrounding him, Moussa gave a very coy answer and probably the default response of someone who is keeping their options open while not disrespecting his current club.

“Lots of things are being said. It is up to me to ignore that and remain concentrated on the pitch.” Moussa told RecordSport.

The plot is taking another twist this morning with reports claiming Lyon are about to sign former Celtic target Tino Kadewere who is on the verge of sealing £15m switch to Lyon according to reports in France from GFFN.

The Scotsman reported Celtic had made a ‘concrete approach’ for the striker earlier this month, but it didn’t come to anything in the end.

Sky Sports man Duncan Castles claims Celtic have a profit-clause on Moussa Dembele of 10% to 15%. Speaking back in August, the reporter said:

“He’s one of a very small group of strikers that are big, good in the air, also good on the deck and can score goals in various different ways. You can see the attraction.” he told his Transfer Podcast listeners as cited by RecordSport.

“He’s very much in play, so it’s an interesting one for Celtic as they sold him for 22 million Euros, but they have a profit-clause in that deal in that they will take, I’m told, between 10 per cent and 15 per cent of any profit should he be sold by Lyon during his current contract.”

This means that after Lyon clear the €22 they paid for the player, Celtic would receive 10-15% of the profit after that. It remains to be seen if Lyon are bringing in Tino to directly replace Moussa, or they’re bedding him in so they can sell Moussa in the summer.
