We reported a couple of weeks ago, Celtic had been again linked with Josh Maja, a striker they were once interested in bringing in from Sunderland.

Maja would head to France with Bordeaux for a small fee due to his Sunderland contract entering its last six months.

Since the striker’s move to the French side, he’s settled in well and is showing the scoring touch which made him popular in England.

Get France Football have today claimed Celtic and their Glasgow rivals are interested in the frontman this summer.

But claim, any move for the striker would be after Edouard was out of the building or expected to leave. I don’t think you’ll get many Celtic fans voting for that scenario.

In a vacuum, if we could land Maja for a long term replacement to Edouard, it could be a great move but supporters would be keen to see Eddy stay for the ten.

All transfer plans are up in the air until a clear plan is set out to get football back. Celtic won’t know what kind of budget they’ll have to bring in players this summer as it stands.
