Before Christmas, Jeremie Frimpong was the spark in the Celtic team. He was the one player that was getting fans up off their seats when he was on the ball.

The defender has been greatly missed since he picked up an injury back in January but he may have a problem getting back into Neil Lennon’s new 3-5-2 team as he returns to training. The only way Frimpong can get into the team now is by dislodging James Forrest and that seems unlikely at the minute.

On the opposite flank, Greg Taylor mans the left-hand side and he has been turning defence into attack and earned his starting place. There is no doubt Frimpong could do the same, in fact, he probably has more attacking qualities than Taylor but more than likely he will play as a back up to Forrest which is not a bad thing either as Lennon is short on cover for the right-wing.

As the games start to come thick and fast and we go into the business part of the season the return of the young Belgian will still be a welcome addition to management and fans.
