Albian Ajeti has started life off in Glasgow on fire, scoring four goals in five league appearances. With that red-hot form, it is fully expected he will receive attention and praise.
One player who has heaps of praise for the Swiss striker is right-back Jeremie Frimpong. As reported by the Sun, the Dutch full-back has hailed Ajeti as a ‘top striker’ who he is delighted to have as his team-mate.
“Albian’s a natural finisher and I’m really happy for him. He has worked hard in training since he came to the club. Albian is here to help us and to score goals. That is what he is doing.
“He is so cool in front of goal and shows total composure. But that’s a top striker for you — he never panics when he gets a chance. You can also see his strength in holding the ball up and that is so important for the team.
“There are times when we play it up to him and we need Albian to take it in and let us get up the pitch. He is good at that. He has made a great start and will only get stronger.”
Ajeti’s goal, which was the third goal scored in the game on Saturday against Livingston, really was a great finish. The way he hits it, first time without much thought, shows the quality he possesses.
The 23-year looks like a striker the Scottish Champions may have been missing for a few years. A real penalty box striker, who will react to anything that falls to him, in and around the area.
In a similar mould to former Celt, Gary Hooper, he certainly has the ability to go on and become a fans favourite at Parkhead and he is already catching the attention of his team-mates.
