Former Celtic rival Craig Moore has been discussing his fellow countryman Ange Postecglou on the Go Radio football show with Rob Maclean.

The former footballers knows all about Ange and what the new Celtic boss is about.

Back in Oz, the new Hoops boss is regarded as the best manager to ever come out of the country.

Moore believes Postecglou has a massive task ahead of him with so much uncertainty at Celtic but does believe he has the temperament and ability to turn things around for the football club.

While discussing Celtic – Peter Lawwell leaving and the gap that’s opened up because of it was something where there could be issues for Celtic but also opportunity for Ange:

“From what I’m hearing about Celtic, there’s a lot of uncertainty.” Moore told Go Radio (05/06/21)

“Peter Lawwell, who for 20 years has done an unbelievable job at Celtic, but virtually done everything.

“When you lose that, you get a sort of ‘whose job’s this, whose job’s that?’ sort of thing.

“I think Ange is a builder, he will look at that now and see the opportunity to try and build a football club

“That’s Ange Postecoglou’s experience, that’s not what Dominic Mckay’s experience. He will help that club so much in terms of infrastructure, that is required for him to go on and do a very good job for Celtic”

Speaking about the squad at the moment, the fluid situation on who will be here next season and who won’t is still a major issue for the club.

Craig Moore believes the biggest challenge is sorting out his starting XI and having the players at his disposal he can trust to go and win games.

“The biggest challenge for Ange and Celtic, getting players in quickly, they’re now ten days training camp in Wales.

“The squad he currently has is probably not where he wants it to be, he still wants players to come in. I think everyone knows that, they’re talking about between seven to ten players Celtic were looking for.

“Edouard and Ajer, do they eventually leave? Is it after this first batch of qualifiers?

“There’s a lot to work through.”

Edouard and Ajer are both expected to leave before the transfer window ends, but when they do go will be dependent on Celtic receiving good enough offers for the
