Celtic comfortably secured another Glasgow Derby victory with a 3-0 win over Rangers at Celtic Park.

Despite a quick start from Rangers, Celtic were the first to find the net, with Kyogo Furuhashi slotting the ball in after a pass across the box from Nicolas Kuhn.

With the goal disallowed after a VAR review ruled Kuhn offside in the buildup.

However, Celtic were undeterred by VAR or refereeing decisions.

Alistair Johnston delivered a cross into the Rangers box following a superb through ball from Paulo Bernardo.

Kyogo used his experience as a striker to leave the ball for Daizen Maeda, who calmly slotted it past Jack Butland in the Rangers goal in the 17th minute.

The Japanese striker then got in on the act just before half-time with a brilliant strike from distance.

Demonstrating his class, he took his time and picked his spot, showing why he is Celtic’s undisputed number one striker.

Callum McGregor ended any chance of a Rangers revival in the second half with a stunning strike in the 75th minute.

His goal highlighted the Celtic captain’s mentality and composure in such a crucial game.

Celtic thoroughly deserved their win and demonstrated why they are the top team in Scotland with another impressive performance in the Glasgow Derby.

Brendan Rodgers has shown signs of elevating this Hoops side in just a year at the club, with the Champions League on the horizon.

  1. No real surprise in the result, if fact it could and should have been more than it actually was?
What was a little surprising, was we didn’t dominant the possession as much as I thought we would?
Nevertheless, we were so good in our transition play, which was brilliant to see with the CL campaign in mind?
So enjoyable watching our team at present, especially when all our players were on their game also?
Yet, we still have room for improvement to be added to our all round game also?
Again, is a wonderful sight to be seeing from ourselves?
Showed the massive gulf in class, we have still over the scum, another welcome sight as always?
But the scum are becoming less relevant to ourselves, and today Showed that we can be a very effective CL team this season imo?
Now that’s the best sight for ourselves to be seeing today?
