OLIVIER NTCHAM’S comments to the French press have been hugely disappointing and not something he had to do. If he wanted a move this summer, Celtic looked likely to facilitate that request if the right bid came in for Olivier.
However, his comments about the failed Porto move and the SPFL quality hampering his progress – the midfielder has proved once and for all there was a mole in the Celtic dressing room last season and Kris Boyd was getting information thrown his way.
Given the information we know now, Boyd’s comments on Ntcham a year ago were spot on and if you look down that dressing room last year, there must have been someone talking to Boyd.
People point to Mulumbu, but the midfielder hadn’t been signed yet when Boyd hit out with the following:
“I’m told, for example, that Olivier Ntcham’s agent is aware of interest from Porto — and they want a deal done before the window closes.” he wrote in his SunSport column.
It’s transpired, that’s exactly what’s happened here and Boyd knew it.
With the squad being leaked all season too, it’s no wonder Neil Lennon was trying to shut the leak down.
