Celtic have signed Gary MacKay Steven on a pre-contract agreement.
The Scottish international was in the last 6 months of his contract and was free to talk to any club.
Celtic were very keen on the player and they have now got their man, although they will have to wait till the summer to get him if they cannot negotiate a fee with Dundee Utd to make the move in January.
MacKay Steven has been one of Dundee Utd’s best players for the past few seasons and Celtic have been following his progress for a long time. They have finally got their man.
This is Celtic’s first move in the transfer market in this window and hopefully this sparks more activity in the coming weeks.
