German Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg has named Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn as ‘one to watch’ for the summer transfer window [X].
It comes after the winger’s sensational start to the season with the Hoops, during which he has scored seven goals and set up a further 10 across all competitions.
Kuhn, who joined the Scottish Premiership champions from Rapid Vienna in January, didn’t have the best start to life in Glasgow.
He played consistently for the Bhoys after completing his move from Austria but failed to really find his feet.
After getting a full pre-season behind his back, though, Kuhn has kicked on. He averages a goal contribution every 57 minutes for Brendan Rodgers’ side this campaign – he has been arguably one of Celtic’s most important players in the season’s infancy.
Plettenberg, who was reliable in breaking updates surrounding Arne Engels’ move to Parkhead in the summer, believes if Kuhn keeps up with his standout performances, he won’t be short of interest next summer.
He has improved drastically since joining the Hoops a little under a year ago and is contracted at the club until the summer of 2029. This means Celtic could demand a hefty fee for the 24-year-old if any big dogs come calling at the end of the season.
He has at least another season and a half in the Hoops.
Hopefully he stays fit and continues in this form.
