Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann is ‘keeping an eye’ on Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn after his sensational start to the season.
The Hoops winger has scored 10 goals and assisted 11 in what has been a tremendous first few months of the campaign.
Kuhn and his team have emerged from the traps flying in 2024/25, losing just one game in all competitions so far.
The wide-man has been the Bhoys’ standout player, and his transformation since the end of last season has been equally surprising as it is considerable.
English Premier League duo Brentford and Fulham have already reportedly ‘inquired’ about Kuhn, with his displays in the UEFA Champions League, particularly against RB Leipzig, putting him on the map.
Indeed, German boss Nagelsmann has taken notice of the attacker’s form. He was asked about a potential call-up for Kuhn after Die Mannschaft’s 7-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday night: “We are focusing on all German players,” admitted the former Bayern Munich gaffer (RecordSport).
“Kühn is also a good player with a lot of desire. He’s someone we’re keeping an eye on. But calling up a new player always means excluding another.”
Given that there is no international break from now until March next year, Kuhn will have to maintain his consistent form over the next few months to stay in Nagelsmann’s mind.
It is easier said than done, although Celtic’s hectic fixture schedule will give the winger plenty of opportunities to strut his stuff.
Things kick off this Saturday night with a trip to Tynecastle as the Hoops return to action against Hearts.
