STEVEN GERRARD has slammed Alan McGregor for taking a thuggish and unnecessary kick at Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer during their defeat at Celtic Park on Sunday.

The goalkeeper who kept the Ibrox in the club for longer than their performance warranted should have seen red early on in the game when they play had stopped and he saw an opportunity to intentionally hurt a fellow professional.

This is the second week in a row the goalkeeper has been involved in a blatant incident when it comes to attacking players on the pitch and he wasn’t pulled up for the one against Peter Hartley at Motherwell.

The compliance offer must now act – especially when his manager has called him out on his idiotic behaviour.

“He’s lashed out. Of course I will speak to him about it.” Gerrard admitted.

“Look, I’m honest, I’ll tell you what I see. I’m not going to sit here and do otherwise.”

After all the hype surrounding this Ibrox side, they came to Celtic Park and offered very little.

They tried to sit back and defender the whole day while Celtic comprehensively outplayed them.

  2. They think we and the rest of the teams players are afraid of them and we will roll over and give in,McGregor should ask himself why he needs to hit out for one day he will cost his team big time,he must understand we are not playing under tens football and he is the big bully that starts punching and kicking out he should examine himself and understand we are all watching and can see what is doing and grow up……..

  3. How long will the SFA and SPFL do nothing, it is becoming an embarrassment to Scottish football, but they did show their hand with “Morellos” sorry about spelling, I won’t hold my breath to see any action taken.

  4. We are dealing with bigotry here in the SFA and some officials, as well as incompetence.
Unfortunately, Scotland and civic society are riddled with it as well.

On a positive note, I thought our police were excellent yesterday, dealing with some ugly Sevco groups as they left the stadium. They knew who would try to cause trouble and dealt with it effectively.

  5. Ohh and I think that Scooby Gerrard will be worried that the Govan begger, will be pulled up, by the Sfa for his petulant kick at Ayer. As thats bound to be a two match ban at least.
