Brendan Rodgers wants the defender to go out and get some positive game time in the next six months and sees a loan deal as the ideal move – but only if he’s not needed as a backup. That means a deal for Benkovic could come down to the wire on deadline day.
Celtic fans have been having their say on potentially trying to bring Filip back for the rest of the season. There’s been some trepidation surrounding his injury record and we can’t afford to have another crocked defender but there’s no doubt if the defender can stay fit he could be a great asset for the rest of this term.
