GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS missed Celtic’s Scottish Cup match against Greenock Morton on Saturday afternoon.

The side won 5-0, but Giakoumakis was unable to get amongst the goals

It is the the second match in a row that Giakoumakis has missed, despite returning to training on Friday.

His midweek absence was due to injury, Ange claimed, but the striker was given the weekend off as “he has a few things going on in the background”, he told BBC Sportsound.

The striker has been linked with a move away from Celtic throughout the window, and it seems as though developments have been made, if the player is missing for that reason.

Celtic are heavily linked to Oh Hyeon-gyu, who could be completing a medical later on Saturday. If reports are to be believed Celtic has agreed at deal worth at least £2.5 million with the Korean club as they prepare for the exit of Giakoumakis.
