Giorgos Giakoumakis has completed his move to Atlanta United, with the MLS side confirming the deal on Wednesday evening.
The Scottish giants will receive an initial fee of £3.5 million, with a further £800,000 in add–ons, SunSport reports.

The Greek is in line for a bumper salary, becoming one of Atlanta‘s designated players, meaning his wages won‘t count towards the MLS salary cap after signing a 3-year deal with the club.
Giakoumakis joined Celtic in 2021 and became the joint–top scorer in the Scottish Premiership last season with 13 league goals, despite only scoring one goal before Christmas.
He scored 26 times in 57 appearances in total while wearing the green and white hoops.
After his latest goal in a Viaplay Cup semi–final victory against Kilmarnock, he appeared to wave goodbye to the fans and posted a cryptic message on Instagram, with his eventual transfer to Atlanta becoming one of the longest–running sagas of the January transfer window.
