Giakoumakis has reportedly changed his agent as the Celtic striker looks at his options in January and for the summer.

Greek publication Sportime is reporting Giakoumakis wants a move to the Premier League and knows time is of the essence after just turning 28.

However, the report also claims the Celtic frontman sees the summer as the ideal jumping off point after a ‘two year cycle’ at the club.

The Greeks claim Celtic will take £6m/£7m for Giakoumakis, but we’d say that figure is coming from his reps side.

The bhoys have already been scouting new strikers with a view to bringing one in either in January or the summer. If the club was to get a great offer for Giakoumakis in January, there could be movement.

However, it’s not ideal to lose such a big player midway through the season.

When Giakoumakis signed, we had the feeling he’d be here a year or two before moving on. His career in football really exploded with Venlo the season before he joined Celtic. In such a short career, players are looking to make as much money as they can and fulfil their potential.

If Giak was to go in the summer, not many Celtic fans would grudge him a move away.
