The post-split fixtures should be announced very soon, but are the SPFL going to change their mind before the fixtures come out?

It has been widely reported for some time that the first fixture after the split would be the final Celtic vs The Rangers clash of the season at Celtic Park which falls on the weekend of the 21st or 22nd of April.

However, if Celtic win their next two games and Aberdeen slip up at the weekend against Hearts, the bhoys could clinch the league title against their Glasgow rivals if the post-split fixture stays as it is.

There is speculation the SPFL will move the fixture in order to minimise the possibility of this being the case.

However, it’s very hard to avoid the scenario and they could just let the cards fall where they may.
