CELTIC could be on a title winning collision course with their Glasgow rivals if results keep up in the coming weeks.

While the fixtures post-split fixtures have yet to be announced it’s already been decided that Celtic will take on the Ibrox club in the first round of fixtures – falling on 22nd April.

Celtic are currently nine points ahead of their Glasgow rivals and still have a game in hand.

If Celtic win all their remaining fixtures before the split, it would mean The Rangers would have to match that form in order to prevent a potential Glasgow Derby title win, should The Hoops prevail.

For it to be feasible Celtic would need to increase the gap between themselves and Murty’s side to 13 points or more on Derby day to clinch 7 in a row.

It’s all hypothetical at the moment – Celtic should be able to kick on in the coming weeks and hopefully force the issue.

However, the last two times The Rangers have been to Celtic Park they’ve got away with a point. Depending on the situation a point mar or may not be enough on the day.

Let’s see what happens.
