Mark Wilson was speaking to his former Celtic teammate Joe Ledley on Tuesday during the Huddle podcast.

The pair reminisced about some of the derby days in Glasgow and not just the good ones.

Mark brought up the infamous penalty decision against Celtic back in 2010.

Willie Collum was the man in the middle and with his back turned to play and no flagging from his officials he awarded our rivals a penalty kick.

TV footage would show it wasn’t a penalty at all and that Collum had never seen the incident to give it in the first place.

Wilson was laughing about it now but he still vividly remembers the scenario.

“The 3-1 game, don’t forget that was the one Willie Collum heard a penalty

He joked: “I’m still to see someone replicate hearing a penalty”

In typical Scottish football fashion, Collum was never made to answer for the incredible decision at the time and has routinely been allowed to officiate numerous other Glasgow Derbies.

The way the SFA choose their top refs is not transparent and is a closed shop.

This should serve as a major warning to Celtic they can’t expect the referees to make the right decisions and have to play above them.
