The defender’s last meaningful contribution to the team was when his clearance turned into an assist during the treble treble cup final against Hearts. Eddy latched onto the clearance and never looked back as Celtic came from a goal behind to win the cup.
It would be Mikael’s last game for the club and what a way to go out.
He and his Sweden teammates will now make the journey to Glasgow in the hope of making the quarter final of the international competition.
Scotland played two of their group games at Hampden and were defeated in both.
It’s good to see Mikael still going strong.
Good for Lustig! Maybe he can convince Isak to make the move to the hoops…?
