Celtic supporters will once again head to Glasgow’s Trongate to mark the club’s latest league triumph, as the Green Brigade confirmed plans for the annual title party following Saturday’s match against St Mirren at Celtic Park.
It has become a familiar sight over the past three seasons, with thousands of fans pouring into the city centre to celebrate Premiership glory. This year will be no different. The ultras group took to social media to officially announce the event:
The celebrations will take place immediately after the Hoops conclude their domestic campaign at home to St Mirren, where Brendan Rodgers’ side will lift the Premiership trophy for a fourth consecutive season.
With a domestic Treble still on the line ahead of the Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen at Hampden on May 24, the title party promises to be the first phase of what could yet become a summer of silverware celebrations.
As in previous years, supporters are expected to gather in huge numbers at Trongate, creating a carnival atmosphere.
Celtic fans know the routine well. Win the league, head to Trongate, and celebrate. Expect the East End of Glasgow to be bouncing once again this weekend as celebrations for Celtic’s 55th league title get underway.
What about the orange walk that’s happening in the city on Saturday as well, is it wise for our support to gather in the Trongate and Merchant City when that coincides and marches right through that area? I don’t want our support to get dragged into any trouble that could see them get criminal records or jail sentences if any provocation comes from thos involved in said march. The oo know exactly what they’re doing here they’re having a legal march and ours is an illegal gathering, now whether either side is right or wrong in the 21st century they’ll get all the sympathy and they’re looking to cause bother so that we looks as bad as they did in 2021 when they wrecked George Square twice in the space of a couple of months despite the whole world being in lockdown because of Covid 19. Anyone of our support who did happen to bite and get arrested will have a weekend lie-in as well then up to court on Monday morning. They’ll be convicted and suffer the full punishment of the law and probably won’t be able to go to see Celtic again either, if our support are wise they’d wait to after the Cup Final to celebrate and give this coming Saturday a bodyswerve. I know we shouldn’t have to but it’s better than putting yourself in harms way and that’s why I’ll be straight home after the game because the consequences aren’t worth it as I know if provoked I couldn’t control my temper and I’m an old guy now of 60.

Since when do the ultras decide when and where we party ? haven’t Celtic fans been going to the merchant city/Glasgow cross for the last 3 years on presentation day without their say so.
You don’t have to go
The so-called carnival atmosphere during the last 3 years consisted of shops and businesses having to close, see their premises suffer vandalism and litter and other filth left by lazy, selfish individuals who dont care about anyone else.
Whats wrong with celebrating in the stadium? Used to be good enough.
Understandable if it was a spontaneous eruption of joy at a last minute title win but we win every year.
Outcome was known months ago so can only conclude that it is nothing more than a GIRUY to the other lot and an excuse for the dregs of our support to cause trouble rather than a genuine expression of joy.
No surprise then that the GB are trying to claim “credit” for an invitation.

Glasgow City Council could have organized an area like Glasgow Green for an official party area after all they are quick enough at allowing the bigoted Orange march through Glasgow.
No doubt there will be clashes and Celtic get the blame instead of the Council.
