It was special day at Celtic Park as the bhoys unfurled the Championship flag in front of a sold out Paradise.

The bhoys in green won the game against Aberdeen 2-0 on the day to get their new campaign off to the best possible start.

The fans were different class as usual. The pre-match full stadium Tifo was incredible. The Celtic crest on the main stand and the SPFL trophy shimmering at the Lisbon lion end.

It was a great triumph for the Green Brigade and the fans who supported the display in the go fund me the group had set up.

During the game, the GB showed class again, by sending out a message of support to the RMT union as they continue to strike.

There were audible chants about the Tories during the game and the banner backing the RMT was seen across the stadium.

Warning, strong language in the video below

The video has been viewed over a quarter of a million times in the space of a few hours.

A lot of Celtic fans stick to their working class roots and show their support whenever they can.

Born from famine and oppressions, it’s in the club’s DNA.
