The Green Brigade have shown there’s no room for sentiment as they aim a parting shot at Peter Lawwell.

The Celtic chief executive revealed he would be stepping down at the end of the season after 17 years in the job.

There has always been ups and downs between Peter and the Celtic support but many, including the Green Brigade, believe his inaction and penny pinching on managers has cost us ten in a row.

Peter’s inability to make changes in October when Celtic’s season was on life support was the kiss of death for our title hopes. January sealed our fate but it all could have been avoidable, and that’s the big thing for Celtic fans right now. This season could have played out so much better.

Peter Lawwell will not leave his post until June but the Green Brigade have taken to Celtic Park to plaster the place in anti-Lawwell banners and stickers – the group calling it a ‘parting shot’.

  1. Glad Lawwell is going but that is a typically graceless and childish response from the GB.
Maybe Lawwell will now reflect on his continual pandering to them over the last few years and the damage they have caused Celtic FC, financially and reputationally.
