The Green Brigade have today made their way to Lennoxtown to put their message forward to the club while the players train.

The bhoys unveiled a ‘Lennon out’ banner outside the training facility which will be in full view of anyone out training and conducting training.

The image of the banner was paired with another statement from the Celtic fan group imploring the club to move Neil Lennon on as soon as possible.

Celtic fans have been asking for a change in manager for months after it was clear this season was going one way. There has been several banners outside Celtic Park, going up to Lennoxtown where the team spend most of their time is a last ditch effort to get a reaction from the club.

A review was expected in the new year which has never come and as the statement says, Neil Lennon effectively said if things deteriorated, he would look to leave, it’s not happened and we’re still looking for what the club are planning to do going forward.

    • Are they wrong though? I don’t think so. Let’s face it, if it wasn’t for COVID there would’ve been mobs of supporters (not just the GB) outside Celtic Park baying for blood every day since November. You might not agree with going to Lennoxtown with that banner but considering we’ve been told the players and staff are ignoring social media…how else are we supposed to let them know of our frustration? The club has been taking the piss out of fans for years but this season has been ridiculous. They claimed there’d be “added value” for those who bought a virtual season ticket but that’s turned out to be a complete lie, they had no plan in place for such a thing. They told us there’d be a “January Review” when it’s been plain to see since November it wasn’t going to happen under Lenny. No review needed, one look at the league table and a swift observation of the team’s level of commitment on the field should have told them all they needed to know. Yet here we are in February and not a Goddamn peep about it, with Lenny telling the press of his plans for next season. His only plan should be what feckin’ lawnmower he’s going to buy to tidy up the garden because he should be nowhere near CP by then. At this rate, even when the pandemic is settling down and fans are allowed back into grounds the stands at CP will be almost as empty as they are right now.
At least the GB are willing to go and stand up for what the majority of fans believe, unlike the pussified Celtic Trust who are of the “Careful now/down with this sort of thing” approach that will do NOTHING to help.

      • To save myself a long winded spout you are spot on. I don’t agree with everything the green brigade do but they are being heard on this issue. If they officials within our club spoke to us this would not be needed. Desmond, lawwell, bankier where are you?

        • Totally agree Brian, l’m not a fan of the GB at all and detest a lot of attention-seeking nonsense they get up to but on this occasion they have it spot on.
Board are using the pandemic to hide and are treating us all as mugs.
What else can we do other than what GB have done today?
          Statement & banner fully justified

      • @Seppington: Maybe, just maybe, if the fans were there we wouldn’t be in the sittuation we’re in.
        Just a thought.
It would be an entirely different scenario, I think the red card, penalty, and Ajeti (and much more) carry on is more than proof of that.

        • Ps. The GB have every right to speak for themselves how they wish, they don’t speak for me or have a mandate to speak for the wider Celtic support.

          • I agree that the fans being in the ground might have lit a fire under the players’ arses, but it is what it is. I’m not claiming the GB’s actions or that they speak for me either but merely stating that I believe most fans agree by now with the “Lennon out” sentiment and that at least the GB are doing something to get that message across to the club.
Are you happy Lenny is still in situ?

  1. Even though they have not learned to climb or the use of ladders. The Green Nursery have been correct in their asumption, that Celtic board are liar’s and Neil should go, as he has no gumption left. And lets the cheese board run all over him. Not that Neil wears his heart on his sleeve. But they have a Sgian-Dubh pointed at it. Leave Neil, and retain some pride. As your fighting a battle you never can win, with both your hands close cuppled to your feet.
