Recent rumours have circulated linking Celtic gaffer, Ange Postecoglou, with the Spurs job. However, Celtic’s squad, including defender Greg Taylor, remain unfazed by the speculation.

Taylor, a stalwart in the Celtic line-up since Ange took over, has voiced his assurance in the team’s capacity to remain undistracted amidst the conjecture.

The Hoops left-back shared his thoughts to Sunsport, ”

“There’s no point in any of us getting nervous about things like that because it’s outwith my control.

“I suppose it’s inevitable there will be interest. That’s just what happens when someone does well at anything in life.

“There will always be plaudits that come with it and whether that’s trophies, individual honours or links to elsewhere, we all understand that’s part of the life of a footballer and a football manager.

Taylor elaborated, “We just try to do our job on the pitch.

“We focus on every game, and at a club this size you can’t look anywhere else. We have tunnel vision. I’m just trying to play a small role in the team and bring success to a club that demands and deserves success.

“Everything else is outside my control.”

Despite the brewing rumours, Taylor underscored the team’s dedication to their duties on the pitch. He said, “Our main aim is to deliver top-notch performances in every match. Given Celtic’s prominence, we can’t afford to be sidetracked. We keep our eyes firmly on the prize.”

“I’m here to play my part in the team’s success in any way possible. Celtic is a club that not only expects success but also justifiably merits it. Everything else is beyond my control and doesn’t alter my dedication to the club.”

It’s also worth noting that Taylor’s performance has seen a significant upturn since Postecoglou took the helm. His improvement under the Australian’s guidance is a testament to the manager’s effective leadership and the positive impact he has had on the team.

The bhoys have the opportunity to bring home a famous treble on Saturday. After that — we’ll likely get a better picture of where Ange will be after the summer.
