CELTIC are in the market for another left-back after Kieran Tierney left the club for a record fee this summer.

The two players who seem to be in the running to become competition for Boli Bolingoli is either Birger Meling from Rosenborg or Greg Taylor of Kilmarnock. The latter has been linked again with the club this morning with claims a £3m fee had been set.

Kilmarnock don’t want to lose their defender but it appears if they’re going to they want to make a good chunk of cash. Taylor has remained tight-lipped on the issue since he has been linked with a move to the club. The Kilmarnock boss has said on more than one occasion he wants to keep Taylor.

There’s no doubt a move to Celtic would interest the defender but in the social media age, we can certainly look for hints and sometimes subtle nods from a player looking to make a move. Celtic fans have seen players follow the club on social media days before signing in the past.

With Taylor, it’s even more subtle.

The Kilmarnock defender ‘liked’ a Football Scotland article which linked him with a move to Celtic and how his team-mate Gary Dicker’s had to say about the situation. Not that this is conclusive proof the player wants to come to Celtic but he’s more than aware of the club’s rumoured interest at this point.

  1. Wait til the last minute of the window, then scrabble around for what’s left – shocking failure by management (Lawwell). Same as last window and look at the duds brought in then – when is the club going to learn? How long have we known KT was leaving?

  2. ok who do we want Birger Meling from Rosenborg or Greg Taylor of Kilmarnock i would take both one for playing the other to make the other play better,we all can see Boli Bolingoli is a attacking left sided midfielder.

    i want both…

  3. Couldn’t agree more with the comment above, Sign both Taylor from Kilmarnock & Meling from Rosenberg, Spot on competition for places is no bad thing and if one gets injured we have a straight replacement, Makes sense “SIMPLES”.
