Despite a shaky display, Taylor played a key role in the team’s success, scoring a crucial equaliser in the 3-3 thriller before Celtic triumphed on penalties against Rangers.

Taking to Instagram, Taylor summed up his day with a candid post, writing:
“Rollercoaster of a day 🤯💚 Same outcome @celticfc 🏆”

Taylor’s performance was a real rollercoaster, as he admitted. His sloppy pass in the first half led directly to Rangers’ opening goal, with Nedim Bajrami pouncing on the error to give the Ibrox side the lead. The left-back also appeared to be off the pace at times, struggling with Rangers’ high press and looking vulnerable defensively.

The second half saw another nervy moment when Taylor almost gifted Rangers another opportunity with a loose pass, but Celtic managed to recover and stay in the fight.

Taylor’s perseverance paid off when he found himself in a shooting position early in the second half. His strike from the edge of the box took a crucial deflection off Nicolas Raskin and nestled in the back of the net, levelling the match at 1-1 and sparking a Celtic resurgence. It was a moment of redemption for the left-back, who celebrated passionately with his teammates.
