A select Celtic squad ran out 9-1 winners in an 80 minute bounce game in Switzerland this morning as the bhoys continue their quest for full match fitness.

The game which was announced only this morning had many of the players who were unlikely to feature during Celtic’s first team game against St Gallen’s.

Four goals from Leigh, Two for Sinclair and one a piece for Henderson, Morgan and Dembele made it 9-1 on the day for the second string.

The game itself will tell us very little but it would have helped with fitness levels and Craig Gordon also managed to make a return to action.

Celtic are in the final stage of their pre-season tour which has seen them pick up two wins in Austria and now the game tonight against St Gallen’s first team will end proceedings.

With the team who played this morning unlikely to see action this evening, it paves the way for a debut for Christopher Jullien and Luca Connell.

That game kicks off at 6:30pm this evening on Celtic TV.
