CELTIC will head to Norway this week unsure if they will be able to call upon a recognised striker.

The team need to score at least once to be in with a chance of progressing to the playoff round of the competition and hopes are high that Leigh Griffiths will be the man to do it with Moussa Dembele out long term.

However, Leigh is still suffering from a thigh injury and is by no means a certainty to start against Rosenborg on Wednesday night.

Rodgers said: “We’ll get a better gauge over the course of the next couple of days on Leigh. It’s still touch and go. It’ll be down to how he feels. Leigh will want to play if he is somewhere near.”

To have the striker back for Wednesday would be a huge shot in the arm for the team who struggled to break down Rosenborg in the first leg.

  1. Missed the game this week as away on holiday. Think when you play teams who are organised and play deep with numbers then you have to get the ball wide and deliver some telling crosses. Even a set piece or a corner can make the difference but you need someone breaking a gut to get their brew on that ball at all consequence , have we that type of player ? Maybe one of the big lads from the back or a well timed late run will do the trick but we have to find a way !! In Brendan we trust , Hail
