Celtic take on Motherwell tonight as they look to progress in the League cup.
After beating Hearts at the weekend, Celtic are on a high and will hope to ride their momentum into this game.
It might be early in the season but the League cup provides Brendan Rodgers with his first chance of silverware if they can negotiate their way to the final which will be before the year is out.
Celtic have three men suspended for tonight’s game – Leigh Griffiths, Efe Ambrose and Stefan Johansen. Rodgers has more than enough players in his squad to cope with these three absent player but they will miss Leigh’s fire power up top.
It gives Dembele a great chance to prove he is a worthy replacement when Leigh cannot play .
There were a good few shocks in the League cup games last night, it’s imperative Celtic don’t continue this trend. If they play to their ability they should get through against Motherwell.
